Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Short SIZN MPP LLC ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this website and its divisions, Buttie FP, Short SIZN Music, and Short SIZN Media. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us directly. This includes:

• Your name and email address, when you email us or use the contact form or a contact link on this site (messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by FormSubmit, a third-party form service)
• The contents of your message, including any details you share about a business, wholesale, booking, or licensing inquiry
• Your email address, if you sign up for a mailing list on this site (for example, updates from Short SIZN Music or Short SIZN Media)
• The messages you type into the AI chat assistant, and any details you choose to submit if you send an inquiry through it when that feature is available (see "AI chat assistant" below)

This site uses Google Analytics (through the Google tag) to understand overall site traffic, and Mailchimp, a third-party email service, to send and manage mailing list communications. Both may use cookies or similar tracking technology as part of how they operate. Google Analytics records things like the pages you view, your approximate location, and your browser and device type, using cookies that identify a browser rather than you by name. Mailchimp emails also include tracking so we can see whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. You can limit analytics tracking through your browser settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on (see "Cookies and similar technologies" below). If the tools this site uses change, this policy will be updated to reflect what is collected and why.

Hosting and technical information

This site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, and some site content, such as text and images, is stored with Supabase. The chat assistant's logs and usage counters are stored with Google Firebase. When you load a page, your browser also fetches that content directly from Supabase, so Supabase receives your IP address. Like most web services, these providers and our analytics tool may automatically log technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website or an embedded service stores in your browser. The following may be used when you visit this site:

• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which help us understand which pages are visited. We do not use them for advertising.
• Cookies and similar technology from embedded services such as the Spotify player on the Music page, and YouTube videos where they appear (loaded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode).
• Session storage in your own browser for the AI chat assistant, so a conversation can continue between pages during one visit. It is cleared when you close the tab or start a new chat.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics, or block third-party content to stop embedded players loading. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading the site. Some browsers also offer a "Global Privacy Control" or similar setting; we do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.

Buttie FP shop and email list

Buttie FP's online shop is operated by Short SIZN MPP LLC, doing business as Buttie FP, and is hosted on Shopify. When you browse the shop, create an account or place an order, Shopify and its payment providers collect the information needed to run the store and process your order, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, order details and payment information. We do not see or store full payment card numbers. Shopify handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy, and the shop's own privacy policy also applies to your use of the shop.

Buttie FP uses Mailchimp for its email list, connected to the shop through the Mailchimp for Shopify app. Through that connection, Mailchimp receives customer information from the shop, such as name, email address, and order and purchase activity, so we can manage the Buttie FP mailing list, send updates and relevant messages, and see which emails lead to purchases. People who sign up through the shop's email signup form are subscribed to the Buttie FP list. Customers who have not agreed to marketing emails may be kept in Mailchimp as non-subscribed contacts and are not sent marketing emails. The Buttie FP list is kept separate from the Short SIZN mailing lists. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by writing to contact@shortsizn.com.

How we use information

We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, manage business relationships (such as wholesale partners, collaborators, or licensing contacts), and communicate with you about those matters. If you sign up for a mailing list, we use your email address to send you the updates you signed up for; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party links and platforms

This site may link out to third-party platforms, including online stores, streaming services, video platforms, or social media, operated by Buttie FP, Short SIZN Music, Short SIZN Media, or outside partners. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them; we are not responsible for their practices.

Some pages also embed content from outside services, such as YouTube videos or Spotify playlists. Loading an embed may share information such as your IP address with that service and may set cookies, under that service's own privacy policy. Where available, we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed.

Stream player

The Music page includes an embedded Spotify player. The player is provided and operated by Spotify, not by us. When the player loads, Spotify may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and whether you are signed in to Spotify, and it may set cookies or similar technology. If you play a track, Spotify may also record that activity under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your Spotify account details or listening history through the player. If you would rather not load it, you can use the streaming links on the page instead, or block third-party content in your browser.

Artist and music information

Pages for Short SIZN Music may show information about artists and releases, such as names, photographs, biographies, release details, and links to streaming profiles. This information is published with the permission of the artists concerned and is meant to be public. If an artist or collaborator sends us this kind of information for a feature or release, we use it only to prepare and publish that material and to stay in touch about it. An artist who wants their information corrected or removed from the site can contact us using the details below.

AI chat assistant

Pages on the main Short SIZN site include an AI chat assistant. It is an automated system, not a person. When you use it, the messages you type are sent through our server to an AI service provided by Anthropic, which writes the replies. Anthropic handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Please do not share payment details, passwords, ID numbers, home addresses or other sensitive information in the chat.

We keep chat conversations for 60 days so we can fix wrong answers, prevent misuse and keep the service running, and then delete them. We do not use chats to build advertising profiles and we do not sell them. To prevent spam and abuse and to apply usage limits, the chat service uses a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address rather than the address itself.

So the conversation can continue as you move between pages, the chat is also kept in your own browser for the length of your visit. It is cleared when you close the tab or start a new chat, and it is not shared with other websites.

Inquiries submitted through the chat

When this feature is switched on, the chat can pass a publishing or business inquiry to our team. When it is switched off, the chat simply gives you the right email address to write to, and does not collect anything for an inquiry. Before it collects anything, it tells you what it will ask for and waits for you to agree. If you agree, it asks only for your name, email address, company or project (if any), the type of inquiry, and a short description with a link if you have one. We use this only to review and respond to your inquiry. Publishing and royalties inquiries are delivered by email to publishing@shortsizn.com, and all other inquiries to contact@shortsizn.com, where a person reads them. These emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, which handles the message in order to deliver it. Inquiry emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for our business records, and we delete them when you ask. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a reply or create any agreement. To ask us to correct or delete an inquiry, email contact@shortsizn.com.

Data retention and security

We retain the information you send us for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain our business records. We take reasonable steps to protect information sent to us, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you've provided to us. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Residents of some U.S. states, such as California, may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold about them, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using those rights. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Who this site is for

This site and our products are intended for visitors and customers in the United States. We do not market to, or knowingly offer products or services to, people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other regions outside the United States, and the shop currently sells and ships within the United States only. If you use this site from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and your information will be handled in the United States under this policy.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
